Mode of action
The active substance of the drug penetrates the plant, concentrates at growth points and blocks lipid biosynthesis. Cletodim irreversibly inactivates the vital enzyme acetylcarboxylase for cereal weeds. Toplants 240 EC destroys both terrestrial and underground (root) parts of cereals, preventing the growth of perennial species. Due to its selectivity, the product does not cause phytotoxicity in dicotyledonous crops on which it is recommended. The effect of the product on cereal weeds is manifested in 7-10 days, plant death occurs in 14-21 days after treatment.

- the product is not compatible with most pesticides and liquid fertilizers. However, in each separate case, the components must be checked for compatibility in a tank mixture. The product cannot be used with products of betanol group if the air temperature is more than +25°C, as it increases the risk of intoxication of crops.
- mixing Cletodim with such active ingredients as: clopiralid, picloram, bentazone, isoxaben and pyridate is unacceptable due to a pronounced systemic effect;

- treatment is carried out 6 hours before the rain;
- do not treat if crops are weak or under stress;
- it is mandatory to ensure a continuous coverage of the area and abundant wetting of plants during the application;
- can be used in all types of crop rotations;
- not recommended to make application on days when night frosts are forecasted;
- due to the high sensitivity of rapeseed plants, in the cotyledon phase, to the action of pesticides, it is not advisable to use Toplants 240, EC in the morning after dew and after rain, with a doze rate above 0,6 l/ha;

The condition for the effective action of the product is absence of rainfalls after spraying for 6 hours. Do not apply at plants wet from rain or dew or at wind speeds over 3-4 m/s. On days with high temperatures the application must be done in the evening or in the morning. |
