Carbendasim is absorbed by the roots and green tissues of the plant and moves from the bottom upwards, inhibiting the synthesis of betabulin, which causes metabolic disease of pathogenic fungi. It is effective against causative agents of diseases such as Puccinia, Erysiphe, Septoria, Helminthosporium, Alternaria, Cercospora and others.
